Dr. Patrick Hsu grew up in Short Hills, New Jersey. He attended Rutgers College and then went on to receive his Master of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology from Albany Medical College in upstate New York. Dr. Hsu then returned back to New Jersey for his M.D. degree at UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. There he excelled as president of his class and graduated with numerous awards and honors (Alpha Omega Alpha).

Following medical school graduation, Dr. Hsu attended the prestigious Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. This surgical training was and still is regarded as one of the most rigorous and well respected programs in the country. He then went on to complete his plastic surgery fellowship at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson. Dr Hsu has formed a very strong reputation as a plastic surgeon due to his breadth of knowledge in a wide array of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgical procedures.
